Option update

Posted on Updated on

This is pretty much how the conversation went…

Me… Blah, blah, blah, charity golf tournament….

Wm: Yes, good point… I have to talk to B P.K. first, then I can call PF and run the idea by him, but when I call PF I have to know what's going on this week-end. So what have you decided?

Me: I want to do all three options!

Wm: Can't. Pick one.

Me: Can we do option 1 (golf with friends) and option 3 (go to the drive in)?

Wm: No, I have to work Saturday morning and I doubt I'll be able to tee off before 2. We'd have to leave for Grand Bend by 6 so that's not going to work.

Me: Rats! Iron Man is playing this week-end!

Wm: We could go to the drive in on Friday.

Me: No, you have to work on Saturday (which normally he wouldn't care about) and if we golf that will be way too long of a day…

Wm: We could go to the drive in on Sunday (please keep in mind that the drive in is 2 hours away, so a little bit of planning is necessary…)

Me: No, we can't, the Survivor finale is Sunday, and if we wait to watch it we'll certainly know who wins before we have a chance to watch it, (learned that lesson!), and that sucks.

Wm: Howabout we golf on Saturday, hang out Saturday night and go to the matinee on Sunday to see Iron Man 2?

Me: Sounds like a plan!

The thing is, we have steak night great night date night at least once every few weeks, and while it is always and still so special, we can do that anytime. I didn't want to combine Option 1 with Option 2 as if we're having a great time at the Creek with friends, I don't want to be like, 'uh, we have to go home now and eat.' It's much better just to see where the night goes. Also, we LOVE the drive in, so old school fun, but it is a hefty drive, and we can do it another time this summer when there is less going on.

So, there you go – that's our week-end! It'll be great -  as always! Now you can breathe GOM!

Thanks … that's a load off my mind …I was initially confused as to how you'd take in a matinee at a drive-in theater, but you explained that.

Sounds like lots of fun. Very complicated to figure out, however, lol! Have fun!
